Growing up in Springfield, Briana had gone to Sky Camp as a student, but only realized its potential as the perfect venue when touring it with Amanda years later. The venue's outdoor ceremony and indoor reception layout felt both aligned with their vision, and practical given their October wedding date. Furthermore, the camp’s ability to house their wedding party and guests throughout the weekend created an immersive, multi-day celebration with their dearest friends and family.

This wedding presented unique challenges for us - in addition to one bride with a broken leg, one half of our wedding planning power was in fact, in the wedding. With Taressa as the Matron of Honor, we discovered new ways to shift responsibilities in order to stay true to one of our core missions: ensuring the wedding day itself was free of typical burdens on mothers, sisters, and friends (though their amazing crew pitched in tremendously with setup and cleanup before and after).

The brides wanted to incorporate elements of fantasy into their wedding, both literally and symbolically. Their parties walked down the aisle to Lord of the Rings music before Briana and Amanda entered to the Over The Garden Wall intro—a perfect musical prelude to their union. Table numbers were adorned by their favorite fictional worlds, while Chef Chelsea brought their vision of a warm, hearty feast to reality.

As MOH, Taressa (naturally) went beyond creating a typical guestbook, curating a multi-dimensional guestbook experience with the Birdie Booth running throughout their wedding. Guests took photos, signed duplicate prints, and slipped them into a keepsake album for the happy couple. The Audio Guestbook telephone was another hit, capturing clear voice messages even with the reception music playing! These thoughtful touches gave the brides precious mementos to help them relive their wedding weekend for years to come.
